Just to be clear, that means anyone using the Lindy Effect Heuristic to compare crypto networks is not understanding how it works unless they are comparing minute old networks to month old networks to decade old networks and for that it works.

Bitcoin is a lot more likely to be around than ICO protocol token launched in early 2018 which is likely to have a longer life span than that test net you spun up 10 minutes ago to try that thing that probably wont’ work.

It says nothing useful about the relationship between Ethereum and Bitcoin which have both been around for Order(years).

That’s how it actually works and no its not really that useful for assessing crypto-networks. The fault for any confusion lies with those that misapplied the tool.

You could say I share Taleb’s distaste for widespread ignorance in the proper application of decision making principles but I am a bit less trolly about it.
